OMR Learn Your Letters Elementary Form Application

Application Profile

Solution: OMR

Definition: This application was created with Lytrod Software Designer’s OMR and drawing features. In this application, the child must match the letter with one of the images that starts with the same sound as the letter shown. The response bubbles under each image can be marked and graded by a regular “scantron” device. The embedded QR Code can also be scanned and will link a smart phone to the question and answer page online.

Business Problem: Teachers and parents want to be able to test a child’s ability to comprehend letters, but the standard method of testing requires more reading comprehension than most young, elementary school students have yet achieved. How can a person who cannot read take a written test?

Business Process: Lytrod Software Designer can create an OMR form that not only has the standard bubble marking, but also can incorporate images that correspond with the selected letter or number. Now all the child has to do is see the letter, then mark the image that starts with the same sound. The teacher can then test if the student understands the concept of the alphabet and the related sounds. OMR response bubbles, shaded boxes and background text are easily created and integrated with data within Lytrod Software Designers.

Application Specs:
-Electronic form eliminates need of expensive preprint
-Existing data workflow remains intact
-OMR form customized to user data
