Lytrod Software Announces the Release of Proform Designer 4.0

Fairfield, CA—On March 15th, 2006, many months of brainstorming, developing, documenting and testing came to fruition when Lytrod Software announced and released the updated, and upgraded, Proform Designer, 4.0.  “Lytrod Software’s continued commitment to the voice of the customer is clearly heard in the over 95 new features that the development team added to the Designer Series 4.0,” states Karen Lytle, Vice President of Marketing.  “Ease of use and integration are the key themes in this release.”

Proform Designer is the first product from the Designer Suite to be released under version 4.0.  DeskTop Designer, Office Designer, and, Lytrod’s newest offering, GraphicArts VI Designer, will follow in the coming months.

Proform Designer 4.0 boasts an entirely revamped job building interface, modeled after the familiar Windows Explorer, as well as an abundance of tantalizing new features, including XML data support. 

Now, every job function, from adding forms to creating complex job conditions, is controlled from the intuitive job build menu, viewable on the left side of the screen.  “The integrated job build menu makes even the most complex variable application simple to design and implement,” explains Karen. 

When asked what she felt were some of the top new features of the version 4.0 release, Karen was quick to respond.  “The “dutch cut” or multi-orientation multi-up is an absolute winner.  Now customers can maximize their “clicks” with more output per page.”

And it appears that customers who are already using the new version share in her enthusiasm.  “Customers who are using 4.0 absolutely love it.  They say it is stable right out of the box, and even with the over 95 new features, the learning curve is quick and they are developing variable applications in no time at all.”
